iSmartClass (Lacspace) operates as a Data Processor. The respective School/Institution is the Data Controller. We do NOT own, sell, rent, or independently use any student, parent, or school data. All data resides under the strict governance of the school administration.
School-Owned Databases
Data is logically separated. Access controls are exclusively held by school admins.
Zero Ad Tracking
We never track students for advertising purposes. Our platform is strictly education-first.

01. Data Collection & Usage
We only collect data that is strictly necessary for the operation of the School Management System. This includes student academic records, attendance logs, and parent contact details strictly entered by the school.
- No Third-Party Sales: We explicitly prohibit the sale of any user data to third parties.
- School Authority: Only the school administration has the authority to add, modify, or delete student records.

Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
Access Control
Strict role-based access. Lacspace engineers cannot access school data without explicit written consent for support.
03. Government & Legal Disclosures
User data is never shared with external entities unless explicitly required by:
- An official, legal government mandate or court order.
- A formal request from the School Administration (Data Controller) to transfer data.
In such rare cases, we strictly follow due process and verify the authenticity of the request before compliance.
04. Updates to Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our operational or legal obligations. Schools will be notified of significant changes through the Admin Dashboard.
